Transportation Department

Lorain City Schools busing is provided through our transportation partners at Auxilio. We work closely together to provide safe and efficient transportation for eligible students to and from school and school-related activities.
Lorain City Schools strives to be efficient and respectful with taxpayer dollars by providing busing services to students in grades K-12 who reside beyond 2.0 miles from school and/or who have special needs identified through an Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
Families who reside within 2 miles of their child's home school may submit a request to the Lorain City Schools Board of Education for transportation where space is available along an existing bus route.
Lorain City Schools and Auxilio work together to educate students about safe practices and procedures to help ensure safe transportation to and from school.

Families are also asked to review the following bus stop safety tips with their students.

Traversa Ride 360

Lorain City Schools uses the Traversa Ride 360 platform, available to families as an app that can be downloaded from the Apple and Google Play stores, to provide families with up-to-date transportation information.

We encourage all adults to download the Ride 360 app to get busing information for their students. If student information isn’t in Ride 360, they are not currently routed for district transportation services.

Ride 360 lets families know immediately when there has been a change in pick-up and drop-off times.
