PRINCIPAL DESHUK Ms. Deshuk loves to engage families and the community through regular Coffee Chat/Cafe con Leche meetings.
Marie Contreras Deshuk grew up in Lorain, Ohio and is the Principal for Stevan Dohanos Elementary, a Pre-K through Grade 5 elementary building that places an emphasis on English Language learning. Ms.Deshuk was was an English Language learner herself and she strives to provide academic opportunities which include equitable and cultural experiences for all students. Her personal and professional experiences have made it possible for her to develop a student-focused vision and lead in a manner that provides for inclusive practices addressing individual student needs.
On a personal note, Ms. Deshuk has two children and during her free time she enjoys running, outdoor activities, traveling, and going to shows. When she can, she enjoys visiting family in Puerto Rico.
ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL STEWART
Monique Stewart previously served middle school students in grades 5th-7th as an Assistant Principal in the Parma City School District. Ms. Stewart supervised and coordinated programs such as Parenting Partners, Fuel Up To Play 60 and PBIS, resulting in increased positive referrals, decreased suspensions and an explosion of higher attendance and academic achievement. Ms. Stewart helps to develop schools that thrive with numerous programs and activities that parents loved to attend such as student led conferences, talent shows and monthly pep rallies.
Ms. Stewart truly believes in building relationships with her students, families and staff to create meaningful and lasting relationships. Her goal is to leave a legacy pleasing God to the very end.
