Send a message of encouragement!
State testing is in our near future. What better way to set your child at ease and give them encouragement to do their very best, but to actually tell them! AWJH StuCo is asking parents/guardians to take a minute and write messages of encouragement for your child to read on each of their testing days.

Attached is a Google Form that you can fill out to write a message for each test. These messages will be printed and delivered to your child the day of their test in hopes to bring a little extra comfort to them as they show their mastery in each subject. You do not need to write a message for every test, but it is encouraged so your child can enjoy a new message each day.  Feel free to include a more personal signature in each message, i.e. "Love, mom" though your full name will be saved, as well, for reference.

Please complete the Google Form by Thursday, March 24th to ensure enough time to sort and deliver messages to their appropriate location.

Please contact Kara Brown ([email protected]) or Molly Ortiz ([email protected]) if you have any specific questions.

Lost & Found
Our Lost & Found is relatively full and we would like to remind families to have their students check for any items they may be missing (coats, water bottles, sweatshirts, etc.) before the end of the week on Friday, March 25th.  Any items remaining in the Lost & Found after the 25th will be donated to a local charity.

The main office also has a small Lost & Found container for technology items, jewelry, glasses, etc.  Currently there are several pairs of glasses, a few pieces of jewelry, and an ever-growing collection of earbuds (both individual and pairs) in our container.  Please feel free to contact Mrs. Bethel ([email protected]) or Ms. Nofzinger ([email protected]) in the office to inquire about these items.

 Teacher Appreciation Donations
SHHHHH! IT'S A SURPRISE!!
Teacher Appreciation Week is coming up the week of May 2-6 and the AWPTA would like your help in showing the staff at Anthony Wayne Junior High School how AWesome they are!

Our goal is to provide at least 1 breakfast, 1 lunch, and daily “goodies” for EACH and EVERY one of the 82 staff members as a way to thank them for all of their hard work and dedication to our students.

So, how can you help with this surprise??

Please, please, please, send your donation (cash or check made out to the AWPTA) in a sealed envelope with AWPTA written on it and have your student give the envelope to Mrs. Bethel or Ms. Nofzinger in the front office.  All donations will be collected and we will get to work making sure that all of the school staff feel VERY appreciated ALL week long by their students!

Any amount will be greatly appreciated, and we ask that all donations be turned in no later than Tuesday, April 5th
If you have any questions, please contact Jenn Atamanick ([email protected], 419-944-0142) as we want to keep this as much of a surprise as possible for all our staff members!

Thank you in advance!
