NWLSD Names CHS Interim Principal For the 2021-2022 School Year
On Friday, June 11, 2021, NWLSD formed a hiring committee that encompassed parents as well as district and school administrators to interview candidates for the Colerain High School Principal vacancy.
The team interviewed multiple candidates; however, the committee was unable to identify a candidate who reflects the leadership skills and characteristics that the committee envisioned for the role of principal at Colerain High School. After much deliberation, the decision was made to go a different direction choosing to name Erin Davis, current CHS Assistant Principal, as the Interim Principal for the 2021 - 2022 school year.
“Erin is a very qualified candidate and an exceptional leader. We are very excited to have Erin leading Colerain High School. Over the years she has demonstrated that she is ready for the challenge of leading our Cardinals forward,” said Darrell Yater, Interim Superintendent.
Davis has been an employee of NWLSD for 13 years. She joined the NWLSD family in 2008 as an Intervention Specialist. Erin has been working as the Assistant Principal for Colerain High School since 2014.
“I am extremely excited to continue to work with the students, staff and community as I make the shift into this new position,” said Erin Davis. “As a Colerain grad, I have always called Colerain home and considered it a very special place. I will strive to ensure that each student has the same positive experience, and leaves Colerain feeling prepared to take on any challenge they encounter after high school. I look forward to being part of the innovative changes that are taking place to make Colerain the best that it can be. Davis will begin transitioning into the new role immediately, however, her contract will go into effect on August 1, 2021.
