CLE Airport Youth Art Gallery

Cleveland Hopkins International Airport’s Youth Art Gallery

October 13, 2023 | If you want to envision aviation's future, look no further than the imaginative minds of students from Longfellow Middle School and Southview Middle School.

When Cleveland Hopkins International Airport called on students from across Northeast Ohio to ponder what flight would look like in the next century, Lorain students responded with vivid and colorful original works of art. Those designs – accounting for 28 pieces of the 50 chosen to be exhibited – are currently on display in the Youth Gallery near baggage claim.

"The Next 100 Years of Flight" allows student artists to visually answer the questions, "Where will we travel, what will we fly in, or where will we fly to in the 22nd Century?"

Supported by art teachers Jacqueline Murdock (Longfellow ) and Amanda Kubicki (Southview), students allowed their imaginations to soar, creating futuristic depictions of flying cars, space travel, and intergalactic missions.
