The Lorain Public Library System has launched a tutoring program, tutor.com, which connects students to more than 3,000 tutors and provides one-to-one homework help, video lessons and test prep for students in kindergarten through 12th grade, early college students and adult learners.

“We know that learners of all ages need access to real-time help, especially while many students are now learning remotely,” said Anastasia Diamond-Ortiz, director of Lorain Public Library System. “We think caregivers and parents will find Tutor.com to be a great resource to help their children with homework and building skills.”

The service is available to all library patrons. The program also offers writing help, test preparation for the ACT and SAT and has Advanced Placement (AP) course videos.

To access this service, patrons go to Lorain Public Library and click on the "tutor.com" link on the homepage. Tutors will be available seven days a week from 3-10 p.m.
