What is Titan Virtual?
Titan Virtual is 100% online, but students are still full Titans!
Students will:
-
Complete all required standards-based assignments online
-
Receive instruction through Edmentum Courseware. Courseware is a digital curriculum that helps students reach graduation goals and beyond through flexible, personalized first-time credit, credit recovery, and expanded course access.
-
Work in small groups and one-on-one with experienced LCS teachers
-
Have access to tutoring, mental health support (Hazel Health), medical services (QuickMed), and extracurricular opportunities
-
Participate in Lorain City Schools’ wraparound services
While Titan Virtual does not have a physical school building, students are still allowed to receive free meals provided to students who attend on-campus. We also plan to offer on-site tutoring and office hours for families as needed.
Why Titan Virtual?
-
Families have told us they want high-quality online learning, and Titan Virtual is our answer.
-
Students can now enjoy flexible learning while staying fully connected to the Titan community.
-
Every student we welcome back strengthens our district and ensures resources remain in Lorain City Schools.
Titan Virtual is not an “easier school”. Students are expected to meet all attendance, grading, and participation expectations, just in a different, flexible format.
