Stay in the Game

Two kids holding certificates

By working together, we can keep our students in the game and set them up for success. At home, at school and in your community, families and caregivers make a difference in student behavior and can be positive role models for attendance.

Stay in the Game! Attendance Network

The mission of the Stay in the Game! Keep Learning, Every Day Network (the Stay in the Game! Network) prioritizes attendance by connecting school districts, students, and families to resources to tackle chronic absenteeism. The Cleveland Browns Foundation, Ohio Department of Education, and Proving Ground are deeply committed to this mission.

In Lorain City Schools, we will use best practices and evidence-based data to make decisions that support improved school attendance for all students. Partnerships like this allow us to utilize our community's love for the Cleveland Browns to incentivize students to come to school on time, stay all day, and be in attendance every day.

Our research shows that by reducing the number of late arrivals and early dismissals, our students improve their attendance, leading to increased academic, social, and emotional outcomes.

Simply put, our students learn best when they are here.
