Nearly 100 student-athletes from Lorain City Schools participated Friday in this year's annual Lorain County Special Olympics, showcasing their athletic skills and spirit of competition. From track and field events to relay races, the athletes showed off their talents and inspired those around them.
Cheers and applause rang through the air all day at Elyria City School's Ely Stadium as these fantastic young people displayed courage, determination, and resilience. With their student volunteers by their side, each Titan Special Olympian showed what it meant to be fearless.
The Special Olympics motto, "Let me win. But if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt," was truly exemplified today.
