On Wednesday, Oct. 7th, Garfield Elementary School held its 2020-2021 school year Drive-Through Open House. Through this socially distanced event, students and their families had the opportunity to meet, in person, their classroom teachers; take with them, to enjoy, a prepackaged rigatoni dinner; utilize the services of nearly a dozen of our community partners and receive supplies from both school staff and organization representatives. A steady stream of vehicles filed in and out of the school parking lot, sharing smiles, waves and important information as part of the school's kick-off to a successful school year. Thank you to the Garfield staff; our Aramark team for providing the delicious meal for families; each of our community partners who attended and shared goodie bags of valuable resources; and of course to our Garfield families for coming out and spending the evening with us! It was definitely nice to see you all, in person, again.
