Mrs. Cheers earned a Master of Education degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from Bowling Green State University, a Bachelor of Psychology degree with a minor in Pan-African Studies from Kent State University and her teaching license through Ashland University. Her administrative experience includes Lorain High, Southview Middle and the Ohio Central School System, with teaching experience at Clearview High School, Ohio Business College, and the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction.
“I’m excited to lead Lorain High as we push beyond the challenges of the pandemic and embrace our dedication to providing optimal learning opportunities for all of our students,” shared Cheers. “We have the right team in place to transcend the perceived barriers to providing our students with a quality education, and an amazing group of kids to grow with in the years ahead.
“There’s a reason our students chose the larger-than-life ‘Titans’ as their mascot — they know their potential. They know they have what it takes to stand out for their greatness and achievement. Our job is to help them get there.”
Mrs. Cheers lives in Lorain with her husband and daughters and loves spending her time with them, traveling and reading. Cheers is also a wellness advocate, and enjoys sharing her love of healthy foods, mindfulness and working out with friends and family.
