We hope that you are continuing to do well as we move further into the school year. It is very important that you are attending your classes regularly, keeping up with your assignments, and staying in contact with your teachers. John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Essay Contest - Please see qualifications in the link below (Due January 15, 2021)



2021 Kenneth Hicks Memorial Scholarship - Comm Star - To qualify, a student must be a high school senior, in pursuit of post -secondary education including: professional, vocational and academic studies, not limited to colleges, universities or military academies (Due January 15, 2021)

Equitable Excellence Scholarship Program - Available to seniors who plan to continue their education at a 2 or 4 year college after graduation. (Due January 28, 2021 at 3:00PM OR until 10,000 applications have been submitted)




Lorain Community Foundation - Scholarships available for seniors with a 2.0 GPA or higher based on financial need, merit, and community involvement. (Due March 2, 2021)



Open Eligibility Scholarships - Multiple scholarships available (Due April 1, 2021)



Medical Mutual Scholarship Fund - $500 one time scholarship - (Due April 1 at 5:00 PM)



Wayne Ross Scholarship - The ESC of Lorain County Endowment Board invites graduating seniors to apply for the Teacher Education Scholarship. (Due April 2, 2021).



Dr. Alfred J. Loser Memorial Scholarship Fund - scholarship for Lorain High seniors who demonstrate financial need. (Due May 1, 2021)

College Board Opportunity Scholarships - Earn chances to win scholarship money up to $40,000 by completing steps in the college application process.



Better Business Bureau Students of Integrity Scholarship - Opportunity to earn $1,000 or $2,000 scholarships based on community service (25%), leadership (25%), and an essay (50%). Please see your counselor if you are interested.



Scholars App - Create an account and see scholarship opportunities weekly that are tailored to you based on your answers to 10 questions. All scholarships have been verified before being posted.



National FFA Scholarship Program - Create an account - multiple scholarships available through 1 application!



Cavaliers/Huntington Bank Scholarship - For the 30th year, the Cavaliers and Huntington will award 10 Northeast Ohio high school seniors with a $2,000.00 college scholarship. Graduating seniors must submit a 500-word essay, perform a high level of service in their communities, provide a high school transcript, ACT and/or SAT scores (if required by the accredited school the student plans to attend) and one letter of recommendation.

Mr. Owen ([email protected]) will be your contact for any questions you have regarding the military and civilian opportunities in the military (there's a lot). ASVAB -- Recruiters can coordinate for students taking the ASVAB individually. An ASVAB will not be scheduled at the high school while we are remote.
