Southview Middle School Observes National Hispanic Heritage Month With Virtual Assembly Oct. 15, 2020

Each year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15th to October 15th, by celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America. Each year, students from across Lorain City School District take part in this annual tradition--at each individual building level--with their own, personalized recognition, in some form or fashion. This year, due to COVID-19, our district has started the school year with 100 percent virtual learning. Not allowing that to hold them back, or deter them from celebrating the rich Hispanic culture that is evident within its walls and community, Southview Middle School worked together to put on their first-ever virtual assembly, to honor those, who came before them. Please join us, and enjoy this video, from the day's event.
