Washington Elementary School Highlights African American Women For Black History Month

Washington Elementary School's "Culture Club"--a group of teachers who work with students to help them understand and showcase cultural diversity, each month--focused not only on Black History Month, for February, but also on influential African American females throughout history. Adorning the hallways of the school, biographies and pieces of art highlighted these women and shared the impact each had on American culture, politics and sports.
