as principal, interim CEO Greg Ring recently announced.
Christine Miller will bring with her 23 years of service—and a five-year professional principal’s license—as she steps into the leadership role of Frank Jacinto Elementary School principal.
began her career, with the district, in 1997 where she served as an educator
for nearly a decade. Following her time as a teacher, Miller served as Lorain Education
Association president for two years before becoming a middle school assistant
principal in 2008. A year later, Miller was promoted to principal of Longfellow
Middle School, where she held the position until 2018.
recently, Miller returned to her teaching roots to serve the educational needs
of third-graders at Larkmoor Elementary School. Miller will fill the position
previously held by Paula Baldwin, who is now in the role of dean of scholar and
family engagement, at Larkmoor.
Pustulka also brings more than two decades of service with her as she returns
to the role of Palm Elementary School principal.
22-year veteran of the district served as principal of Palm from 2009 to 2018 before
returning to the classroom, as a teacher, at both Stevan Dohanos and Larkmoor
elementary schools for the past two school years, respectively.
her principal role at Palm, Pustulka began her career with the district as a
teacher; worked in curriculum resource; served as a building manager and worked
in computer intervention over the span of a decade.
Pustulka takes on the role previously held by Dr. Carol Winter, who resigned from the position in November. She holds both a five-year professional principal’s license and superintendent’s license.
CEO Greg Ring said he is glad to have proven, successful building leaders like
Miller and Pustulka at the elementary school level.
“I am confident they will have a positive influence on the learning environment and culture of their schools, making Palm and Frank Jacinto the best places they can be for our students,” Ring added.
