Holly loved getting ready for every school year by participating in band camp and learning the new routines. She will forever remember Tom Tucker, her band director’s, quote “The sun always shines on the Lorain High Band.” Besides her involvement in band, she was also very active in numerous activities during her years at Lorain High. Athletically, she threw the shotput and discus. Along with band, Holly participated in choir and orchestra. Her community activities and her desire to give back to her community led her to become part of Key Club, International Club, Girl Scouts, and volunteering in the community.
After Holly’s 1990 graduation from Lorain High, she continued her education at the University of Akron earning a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration. She also attended Lorain Community College and Cleveland State’s dual program achieving an Associate’s Degree in Individualized Studies and a Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Studies.
