Dr David Rositano

David Rositano is a 1974 graduate of Admiral King High School. During his years at Admiral King, David was well known for his academic prowess as he was a member of the National Honor Society and finished 4th out 411 in his class. He was also a speaker for the National Honor Society and for commencement. David's dedication to excellence extended beyond the classroom as he also earned letters in football, basketball, baseball and track, and met his future wife Loretta in high school with whom he was married for 44 years.

After graduating from Admiral King, David's pursuit of knowledge led him to Dennison University and graduated in 1978. At Dennison University, he played varsity baseball and served as a student athletic trainer for varsity athletics. His passion for helping others then guided him to attend the Ohio State University school of Dentistry where he earned his dental degree in 1983.

Following graduation, Dave was a practicing dentist in Lorain for 39 years, retiring in 2022. Throughout his career, he remained an active member of the American Dental Association, the Ohio Dental Association, and the Lorain County Dental Society. He was named "Lorain County's Best Dentist" in a Lorain Journal poll and listed in the National Register of "Who's Who Among Professionals".

David's love for sports and mentorship continued long after his high school days.

In his free time, Dave is an accomplished coach of basketball and baseball. As a coach, he has made a lasting impact on countless young lives as he coached at Lorain High School (basketball), Admiral King (baseball), Southview (baseball), and Amherst Steel (baseball and basketball). While coaching baseball, his teams won three Conference Championships, made three State Regional appearance, and named State Poll Champions in 2018. He is the author of "High School Base-ball: How to Greate and Run a Winning Program." Dave is also a recipient of the Amherst Board of Education "Crystal Apple Award" for outstanding volunteer service to the Amherst School District and was inducted into the Amherst Sports Hall of Fame in 2024 cementing his legacy as a true leader and role model.

Now retired and residing in Lorain, David Rositano's journey from Admiral King High School to becoming a father of two, grandfather of one, dentist, coach, au-thor, and community leader serves as an inspiration to us all. His unwavering commitment to excellence, both in his personal and professional life, exemplifies the values we hold dear as alumni of the Lorain Schools.
