Bambi Dimacchia Dillon’s life reflects a rare blend of dedication, leadership, and unwavering service to her community. A proud graduate of Lorain High School’s Class of 1972, she distinguished herself early as a member of the National Honor Society, setting the tone for a lifetime defined by excellence and commitment. Upon graduation, she began her professional journey as a secretary for Lorain City Schools, launching a career rooted in service and reliability.

Bambi went on to build an extraordinary 40-year career in the industrial supply field, spending 20 years with Kohlmyers Industrial Supply followed by another 20 years with Bostwick Braun. At Bostwick Braun, she held wide-ranging responsibilities including shipping, receiving, purchasing, sales, and auditing. Her leadership and work ethic earned her numerous honors, including the company’s prestigious “Kind Heart” Award and recognition as Employee of the Year. She also served on the company’s Board of Directors, a testament to her respected voice and professional expertise.

Beyond her career, Bambi’s impact on Lorain is immeasurable. She has served as President of an extraordinary list of organizations: the Lorain Business and Professional Women’s Club, Altrusa Club, IAV Ladies Auxiliary Post #1, Lorain Southview Adult Athletic Boosters, Lorain Admiral King Adult Athletic Boosters, and the Lorain Sports Hall of Fame. Her leadership strengthened each organization and expanded their impact across the community.

Her volunteer service is equally extensive. Bambi is a former Easter Seals volunteer, former Secretary of Lorain Youth Baseball, and served as Chair and Treasurer for the Citizens of Lorain Schools Levy. She has volunteered for the Lorain YWCA and contributed her talents to numerous political campaigns. She currently serves as Treasurer of the Lorain International Association and is a meritorious Board Member of Lormet Community Federal Credit Union. As the current Quartermaster of the IAV Auxiliary Post, she continues to volunteer regularly in countless capaci-ties.

Her service has been recognized widely. Bambi has been inducted into the Lorain Youth Baseball Hall of Fame, honored by Lorain City Schools for her contributions, and awarded a Community Service Award by the Lorain Sports Hall of Fame.

Through every role—professional, civic, or volunteer—Bambi has embodied dedication, compassion, and leadership. Her life’s work has strengthened the institutions, traditions, and people of Lorain. She shares this journey with her husband, Bill Dillon, whose support has accompanied her throughout decades of service.
