Meet JD: A New Four-Legged Member of Titan Nation 🐾💙⚔️🩶

Titan Nation has a new member, and he has four paws!

Meet J.D., a Dutch Shepherd who has officially joined the Lorain City Schools family after being gifted to the district by the Lorain Police Department.

J.D. comes to LCS with an impressive background. During his time with the Lorain Police Department, he was certified and trained in narcotics detection, gunpowder detection, and suspect apprehension through the organizations that govern police K9 training and certification.

While J.D.’s specific role within Lorain City Schools continues to take shape, he already has plenty of experience being part of the Titan community. He has become a familiar face at school events, including Safety Town, Lorain football games, and community demonstrations.

The Lorain Police Department shared that J.D. was a valued member of its K9 team during his time with the department. As LPD transitioned to a different K9, J.D.’s calm and compliant demeanor made him a natural fit for a new role supporting the Lorain City Schools community.

Now, J.D. gets to continue serving the community in a new way, this time as part of Titan Nation.

We’re excited to welcome J.D. to Lorain City Schools and look forward to seeing all the ways he’ll become part of our schools, events, and Titan family. 🐾

Welcome to Titan Nation, J.D.!
