Safety Town

A young boy wearing a Safety Town T-shirt and helmet is being presented with a certificate by a police officer, while other children in the background appear to be observing the event.

Safety Town is a one-week summer program, held in partnership with the Lorain Police Department, that teaches your child safe practices at school and at home. Dedicated community volunteers and local first responders spend time teaching your child basic safety measures such as school bus safety, seat belt safety, fire safety, poison control, crossing the street, and dealing with strangers. Each week, your child will be celebrated with a graduation to mark their achievement. Safety Town is held on the campus of Lorain High School, located at 2600 Ashland Avenue.
