TIER I SUPPORTS
School Counselors | Lorain City Schools expanded student supports by adding three (3) School Counselors at the elementary level in the 21/22 school year. School counselors play a vital role in our schools by guiding students toward success in their education and future careers. School Counselors support all students in grades PreK-12 with academic achievement, social and emotional development and career planning.
Social Workers | School social workers are often called on to help students, families, and teachers address problems such as truancy, social withdrawal, overaggressive behaviors, rebelliousness, and the effects of special physical, emotional, or economic problems.
