Principal's Corner

PRINCIPAL KAISER


Dr. Brigette Kaiser graduated from Bowling Green State University with a degree in music performance and began her teaching career in Flagstaff, Arizona on the Navajo Reservation. During that time she also attended Northern Arizona University to earn a post-degree teaching certification. 

Dr. Kaiser returned home to Ohio to teach first grade for 9 years in Oberlin City Schools. She earned a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Ashland University and another Master’s degree in Administration from Cleveland State University. She earned her PhD in Elementary Education from The University of Akron with a focus on Language and Literacy Development. Dr. Kaiser has taught Literacy to aspiring educators at Baldwin Wallace University and supported school improvement as a Curriculum Director and K-12 Literacy Specialist through the Lorain County ESC. 

 In her spare time, Dr. Kaiser loves to travel, cook, listen to music and spend time with her husband and three beautiful children.

Wendy Grugle was an attorney in private practice for several years before following her dream of becoming a classroom teacher. She taught in Cleveland for several years before joining Lorain City Schools as a building leader. 

Ms. Grugle graduated from The Ohio State University with a Master's degree and administrative licensure in Educational Leadership. She has a PK-3 Early Childhood Certification and an Early Childhood Generalist Endorsement for Grades 4-5. She received her undergraduate degree from Miami University and holds a J.D. and LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Denver. Ms. Grugle and her three daughters love to spend time together traveling, playing sports, and spending time outside.
