Mercy Health Clinic at Washington Elementary

UPDATE: SERVICES ENDING JANUARY 31, 2023

Through their attorney, Mercy Health has notified the Lorain City Schools that they will no longer provide healthcare services through our schools beyond the end of the month.

Superintendent Dr. Jeff Graham would like to reiterate the district's commitment to our community-based Titan Wellness initiatives.

“It is not my place to question Mercy Health’s mission or its business model — I know nothing about running a hospital. However, we established the partnership with Mercy many years ago when we mutually recognized that many of our families didn’t have access to healthcare for a variety of reasons,” Dr. Graham shared. “It’s a shame that we have so many hospitals and their satellites that border our district, but for many of our families, they might as well be as far away as Cleveland. I want to assure our families that we are actively searching for a new healthcare partner to meet the needs of those in our care.”

We are encouraging our families to contact the Mercy Health Clinic directly to discuss any appointments scheduled after the end of the month, as the continuation of health care is very important.

We will be sure to share updates as they become available.
