What to bring with you
A valid form of identification (i.e. Ohio Driver’s license, Ohio ID) and check or exact cash in the amount of $46.00.
How long does it take to get the results
ODE should receive the results within 48 hours, although results may take longer as BCI processing time varies and/or if a record is found during the course of the criminal background check. If a record is found it could lengthen the process to several weeks.
Employee Identification Badges
Regular full time employees and substitutes will receive identification badges after the HR Department receives the results of the background check. If needed, photos will be taken at the time of the background check/fingerprint appointment.
Volunteers
All volunteers must bring in the appropriate form from the building with the principal’s signature authorizing the background check. Volunteers should have their background check completed within 72 hours of volunteering. A volunteer is a person who on a regular basis will have unsupervised access to children.
