To keep our career and technical training programs up-to-date, Four County Career Center instructors are eligible to participate in a Work Experience program sponsored by the Career Center.  Instructors have the opportunity to participate with a local employer in an internship experience in the career and technical area of their expertise.  Following their internship time, the instructors include the up-to-date training methods into their curriculum to give the best possible education to students attending the Career Center.  The local internship site is not responsible for wages to instructors during their training.  Through these types of partnerships with local businesses, Four County Career Center exists to serve the people of northwest Ohio.

Shown above is Chris Zacharias, Welding Fabrication instructor who had the opportunity to work at Swanton Welding in Wauseon.  Chris is shown with Career Center Welding Fabrication graduates (LEFT TO RIGHT) Shawn Cook (2022 grad); Dean Fredrick (2022 grad); Zacharias; and Tucker Holifield (2023 grad).  Missing from the photo is Noah Phillips (2023 grad).  Chris is working with these graduates to talk about how to incorporate new welding methods in training students at the Career Center to prepare them for the workforce.

Shown above is Kim Cordes, Career Assessment Specialist (RIGHT) who had the opportunity to work at Soaring Arts Studio in Napoleon.  Kim is shown working with Derrick Maassel (LEFT), a resident artist at the studio.  Soaring Arts Studio is affiliated with the Filling Home in Napoleon and is community based for individuals with disabilities.  Kim will utilize the training she received as she works with transition students at the Career Center.
