Anthony Wayne High School Duo to Take Center Stage at Local TEDx Event

ted talkArjun Jayaraman and Aradhya MuthumulaHeld internationally, TED Talks are engaging presentations given by experts, innovators and thought leaders on a wide range of topics, aimed at sharing ideas and sparking meaningful conversations. These talks, often delivered in under 18 minutes, have become a global platform for inspiration, education, and connection.

Two Anthony Wayne High School students shared their thought-provoking ideas at a TEDx event presented by Maumee Valley Country Day School. The event will be held in the Millennium Theatre at Maumee Valley Country Day School from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 26. Admission is free and open to the public.

Aradhya Muthumula, a sophomore known for her active involvement in both school and the community, plans to illuminate the audience with her perspective on finding positivity even in the most challenging of circumstances in her talk titled "The Bright Side," Aradhya will share how maintaining an optimistic mindset helped her endure a 5-day travel nightmare, and helps her see the ordeal as a positive experience.

Joining her will be sophomore Arjun Jayaraman. Arjun plans to keep his talk lighthearted and comedic as he approaches the subject of emulating others to inspire personal growth. His talk “How Our Idols Can Motivate Us," Arjun will suggest a three-step process to applying the successes of the individuals we admire to ourselves to put improvement goals into action.

Arjun's fascination with math and science propels him towards dreams of attending UC Berkeley and contributing to transformative change. When he's not immersed in his studies, Arjun can be found running, volunteering in his community, or simply enjoying the company of friends and family.

As an officer in her school's student council and a dedicated athlete, Aradhya is deeply engaged in shaping her surroundings. Beyond her school walls, she finds joy in volunteering at the local Hindu Temple of Toledo, traveling, and cherishing moments with loved ones.

Aradhya and Arjun are among 11 high school students from across the area selected to participate in the entirely student-led event. More information can be found on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/tedxmvcds/ and online at mvcds.org/tedx
