Anthony Wayne High School Families,

A reminder that we do not have school on Monday, April 8, due to the Solar Eclipse. In addition, please pay careful attention to the testing schedule and transportation information regarding the testing schedule in the sections below.

Testing
Next week begins the spring testing season at the High School. This calendar outlines the testing schedule, AP cram sessions, and study tables for the month. It is suggested that you print the calendarNote, buses run on normal times. Refer to the letter sent on March 22, 2024 for further details.

Student Council Coins for Cancer

Student Council is hosting its annual Coins for Cancer fund drive on April 12th and 19th after school. Student Council members will be in the parking lots collecting change to support the Cancer Connection of Northwest Ohio to help families experiencing cancer diagnosis and treatment. Please start collecting your loose change, and remind your student to be on the lookout for coin collectors. Please also consider donating if you are on campus. Thank you!


Seniors - Important Testing and End-of-the-Year Information

This week, during HomeBase, seniors were informed of testing details, attendance requirements, and end-of-the-year dates and times. Please see the Senior Presentation to review this critical information. The presentation is also posted in the Class of 2024 Google Classroom and on the Class of 2024 web page.


Juniors - ACT Reports

ACT scores are available through the student’s MyACT account. A hard copy of the report is available for students to pick up in the guidance office.


Freshman - Field Trip

Wednesday, May 8th all of our freshmen will be attending the Junior Achievement Inspire field trip. This unique opportunity will allow students to experience a variety of future career opportunities through hands-on activities. If you are interested in chaperoning, please contact Cheri Voltz.


Cafeteria Accounts

Did you know you can be notified when your child’s cafeteria balance is low on funds? Just log into www.PayschoolsCentral.com and update your settings to receive low-balance notifications via email. Please click here for step-by-step instructions.


  • Senior parents: Before graduation, please check your child’s cafeteria balance at www.PaySchoolsCentral.com and pay any negative balances to settle your account. If you have leftover funds and would like a refund, you may request a paper check. You may also choose to transfer your child’s extra funds to a sibling or donate the balance to the AW Lunch Fund for students in need.  Please email your preference to Mrs. Menchaca, Food Services Director, at [email protected]


AWHS Musical

AWHS will present Mamma Mia! on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, April 18-20, at 7:00 p.m., with an additional matinee performance at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets are available online now or at the door. 


District Art Show

The 52nd Annual Anthony Wayne District Art Show featuring grades 3-12 is Saturday, May 11. The show is open to the public, and admission is free.


Yearbook Orders

The yearbook staff has been hard at work, capturing all the remarkable achievements at AWHS this year.  You can order your 2023-24 yearbook online via the Josten's website through May 15.
