The parent / guardian should bring the following to register students:

    (1) Complete the Pupil Registration Form

    (2) Birth Certificate (Kindergarten students must be five (5) years of age by September 30)

    (3) Complete Shot Record

    (4) Child's Social Security Number

    (5) Custody / Divorce Papers(if applicable)

    (6) Proof of Residency (Example; utility bill, Payroll stub, lease agreement)

Supplemental Educational Services (SES)

During the 2011/2012 school year, students who currently attend Academic Enrichment Academy, Frank Jacinto, Garfield, General Johnnie Wilson, Hawthorne, Helen Steiner Rice, Larkmoor, Longfellow, Palm, Stevan Dohanos, Toni Morrison, Washington and Whittier schools, which are identified as being in School Improvement 2 or higher, and students who qualify for free or reduced price lunch, are eligible to receive free SES tutoring.

During the 2011/2012 school year: 4,763 students were eligible; 684 students participated.

During the 2010/2011 school year: 4,467 students were eligible; 656 students participated.

During the 2009/2010 school year: 4,300 students were eligible; 694 students participated.

During the 2008/2009 school year: 3,349 students were eligible; 495 students participated.

During the 2007/2008 school year: 1,600 students were eligible; 193 students participated

Public School Choice (PSC)

During the 2011/2012 school year all of our schools are identified for improvement and therefore a transfer to another district school is not available.

During the 2010/2011 school year: 3,349 students were eligible; 0 students participated.

During the 2009/2010 school year: 5,387 students were eligible; 7 students participated.

During the 2008/2009 school year: 2,448 students were eligible; 68 students participated.

During the 2007/2008 school year: 2,318 students were eligible; 111 students participated.
