Dress Code
With the support and assistance of their respective communities, Lorain City Schools
has developed a uniform policy. This policy is in addition to the general requirements of the
Lorain City Schools Dress Code. Refer to your school office for up-to-date information on uniform policies.
The Lorain City School Board policy stipulates that
school clothing shall exhibit good grooming standards and not distract
from the educational process. The
dress code will be enforced to ensure a school climate which is
most conducive to educating and to learning. The
guidelines for determining what is appropriate for school are simple. If the clothing is too short, tight, ragged,
revealing, controversial, or unsafe, it will be deemed inappropriate
for school.
